E-Learning capacity building training at Lira University

HEPI-TUITAH conducted a 3-day e-learning capacity building training for the instructors at Lira University. Participants were introduced to the basics of e-learning and later a handson training that introduced them to the HEPI-TUITAH, Moodle based Learning Management platform that will be used to deliver the ‘Low Dose High Frequency’ curriculum in the 3 partner institutions (Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Lira University and Bishop Stuart University). The event was officially opened on 3rd July 2019 by the Lira University Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Okaka Dokotum with a keynote speech that portrayed e-learning not as a need but as a requirement in the academia and was closed on 5th July 2019 by the Lira University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Jasper Ogwal. The facilitators were Mr. Baryashaba Amos (HOD Computing Services unit, MUST), Mr. Mubiru Lasto (Network/Systems Administrator, MUST) and Mr. Tebandeke Lawrence (HEPI-TUITAH E-Learning Platform Administrator)
