The ORA will work with the Faculty Research Committee in the Faculty of Medicine to ensure the quality and soundness of the research studies proposed by the health professional students on the TUTIAH program before micro research grants are awarded. The office will also liaise with the MUST Research Ethics Committee (REC) and the partner institutions for ethics clearance and registration of the studies with the Uganda National Council of Science and Technology (UNCST) so as to hasten the processes. The output from the studies conducted will be publications in peer reviewed journals. MUST has a FWA registration with the US Department of Health and Human Services (IORG# IORG0003802 or FWA00007740).
